Hi Enrique
Superb specimen. Great trunk. I don't think that I've ever seen one with wood that heavy. But then they don't grow this far south in the Caribbean (Barbados) What are the dimensions?

By the way do you know what happened to IBC? Looks like we have to seriously work at reactivating this site.

I'll work at posting again.

Hi Art, its been a long time since I heard you, we meet in Washington and recently again in PR remember with Gladiel.
Anyway, this is a big bucida, not an easy find, the trunk at the base is around 25 cm. They are very very hard to find in Mexico I have just one that is a bit more masive and older than this one. But I have not work on it as I want to be very careful with it. This one is doing great I hope to improve the top part and to allow more light to pas trough the middle part, since one of the jins block the view and it looks from the pictures like an inverted growth.

I'm surprised that you have one with an even bigger trunk. Good luck with them.

If all goes well I will post the second one at the end of summer 2009, although it will be just the beginning, it will take a few years to have a good development, but will see. I have not seen that many bucidas on the net I wonder who else is using them.
best
