For anyone interested, Bonsai tropical de Mexico will have its second exhibition in Merida, Mexico. From 11-13 of November. There will be no fee for the exhibition of 100 tropical trees, must of them from the region. If anyone is interested let me know.

Hi Leslie, the speicies are Mimosa bahamensis, Gymnopodium floribundum, and Ficus benjamina. But there were quite a few species in the exhibition, many like, Dyphisa cartagenensis, or Holographys that have not yet been used in other places (as far as I know) best wishes. Enrique

The larger photo looks a lot like a Prosopis velutina, I was convinced that that was a bonsai Mesquite tree :o .

yes Mimosa bahamensis like a lot of the leguminose do tend to look a bit a like. Prosopis tends to have larger leaves and a the leafs are a different type of green, also the youg branches of this mimosa are ussually white. Is quite a nice species. Best wishes Enrique

Yes mimosa bahamensis have small white flowers, similar to other type of acasia´s

sir enrique,
how about the 2nd large picture, is that a juniper? what variety is it? bcause i have my juniper bought it last month ago...but i see the plant doesn't produce new shoots after repoting it. but i pruned its little branches but i still didnt pinch its shoots coz i want to see a sign of recovering,like growing new shoots before doing it. sir how would i hundle this? what season is the best way to do this? thanks, anyway nice trees you got!
