Hi there I'm from Puerto Rico where Tamarinds Trees are plentyfull...have several trees...this tree looks good for styling either informal or weeping...if you don't know where to start I would suggest you to contact any bonsái club in your area or have someone with experience style it for you. This is s very good looking tree and it could become even better. Hope you can contact someone...by the way, if you a totally new to this hobby you should take a basic bonsái course with a trained Master.

Hi Taino, it is wonderful to see some of your collection there in Puerto Rico. What type of climate you have there & species that are capable for bonsai.. Keep it up:cool:

Yours is a twin looking trunk. I think, you have to reduce the height of you smaller trunk somewhere close to its first branch.
You may want to repot your material to have a better vigor.
What's the total height of your material?
I have a 10years old material from seeds.

Thanks litoalansalon for the suggestions. It's approximately 18 inches tall and the trunk base is around 5 inches in diameter. If I cut it near to its first branch Sir, what will be the next step, sorry but I'm really new to this hobby.
I'm glad I found this site with guys which help newbies like me. Many thanks Sir
You've got a nice tamarind Sir.

Hi Isman....sorry for the delay. Puerto Rico lays in the "tropical" caribbean, thus our climate is between mid 70's to low 90's (Fahrenheit) in spring, summer and fall. During winter mid 50's to low 80's. In the mountains temps may drop 10 to 15 degrees lower. We have many specimens that are used for bonsai in PR. One of the most used is NEEA BUXIFOLIA or nea.
Regards and HAPPY NEW YEAR...Prospero Año Nuevo...
